Sir William Perkins School Private Tutors

Sir William Perkin’s School uses its own entrance tests, assessing English and Mathematics.

Parents must submit an online registration form.

Candidates will take the 11+ test and sit an interview with a member of staff.

Parents will be notified of the outcome in December. Acceptances must be confirmed by March and a deposit of £750 will be required to secure your place.

The Sir William Perkin’s School 11+ entrance exam consists of the following:

Total of 1 hour:

• English: Section 1 – Reading comprehension: assesses vocabulary, punctuation, and inference skills.
• English: Section 2 – Writing: Marks will be given for effective use of imagination, structure, purpose, organisation, coherence, sentence construction and punctuation.

Total of 1 hour:

• Mathematics: Section 1 – General skills 
• Mathematics: Section 2 – Problem solving 

Candidates will also sit an interview with a member of staff to explore interests and problem-solving skills.
